Introduction to ICD11
“Introduction to ICD11” is an on-line course which guides acupuncturists and their billers step-by-step to coding and researching mortality statistics. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) diagnosis is making it's first appearance in ICD11. Learn to code TCM and western diagnosis directly from the ICD11 platform before before it officially takes effect in the United States. Learn how to search mortality statistics using the World Health Organization's (WHO) Data Platform to research mortality trends across different demographics and countries.
By the end of the course, one will feel comfortable coding and researching through the WHO's platforms. They will have a basic understanding of ICD11 and its role in world health care. This course uses quizzes to introduce acupuncturists and their billers to codes they will commonly contact.
Course Objectives
- Explain the role of ICD11 in health care.
- Explain the ICD11 guidelines to coding Western and Traditional Medicine morbidities.
- Demonstrate the ability to code western and TCM diagnosis using the WHO's coding website.
- Demonstrate to ability to find specific data from the WHO's mortality database.
